More one common mistake, which is found on this forum.
French names. ending with the sound of "e" (Manet, Delaunay etc.) uniquely transcribed in Russian without the letter "e": Man, Delaunay, Monet, Isabey, Courbet, etc. Similarly, almost no longer used for transcription of the letter "e" and in other cases: Deren (in the early 20 th century wrote Deren), Mango (Mangen), etc. The only thing which used the letter "e" - so it is in the word plein air and Manhattan, as well as some names of English painters: Nash. |
