As for paper, that's what the conversation: I believe that Nolde, although already quite risen in recent years, will still rise in the price, and pretty soon, then there is at least double or triple what and said Frosya.
She agreed with me in regard to work with oil, but thinks that watercolor on paper, which already faces from 150000 to 400000 euros, reached "market maturity".

But today it all started with what I have compared the collage Dibenkorna (see above) with a collage of Steel, recently sold at Sotheby's in Paris, thousands of 80-85 (the price of "the hammer" which I have given), in that collage It was completely amazing and in some sense, the sign work for the artist.
That's me in the fact that examples of American art (Rothko, about Dibenkorna I'm just joking) are not good - prices are in general comparable with the prices of European art (not so long ago, I pointed out the cost of Hopper's etchings - 126000 dollars for Such money can not buy the latest small Dutchman!).

Example Klee, in my opinion, not bad, now we must check whether it is the only case, or there are other precedents, and how many of them. But since I do not buy, do it, I will not

Today I received a catalog trades Svremennogo Art Sotheby's (New York, 12-13 May).
Books a thick, just like in the pre-crisis times - may be true, and on the art market came spring?
And at the prestigious evening, and day trading darkness Warhol, but of whom I speak do not want to hurt - it is monotonous and, in general, in my opinion of little interest. I understand that this is a very expensive artist, but I still think that it is aging badly, such as wine, which turned into vinegar.

Generally book morning and afternoon trading seemed much more fun than an evening, a lot of attractive things, including 3 Diebenkorn, which I, once we have the story on this artist, I spread here:

Still, 1957, 45,7 × 50 cm, 450000-650000 USD
Untitled, 1963, 45,1 x 36,2 cm, 250000-350000
Ocean Park, 1977, 73 X52, 7 cm 100000-150000

Previously, Diebenkorn I caught sight only as OCEAN PARK. For that I took a dislike to him and how many other Americans. But the works shown in the messages LCR 1-3, gave me a completely new idea about this artist.
Thank you.

The artist is good. And what particularly impressed me in his work so that wholeness. Everything is as it is interconnected. One thrust of his work, quite naturally, follows from another in order to appear in all the others, and so forth. This is a sign of real art. He seemed to be looking for or what else, but undoubtedly the creative process. And at the same time, it is not a simulation, not a choice of more commercial style, but the real work of the artist. In this sense, Diebenkorn very good compared to Rothko. Undoubtedly, Rothko loses in this comparison.
