Benoit?
Bilibin?
Or anyone else?
Dear forum , I would like to ask for advice to experts on Russian art of the first third of the twentieth century. In my possession are a few original drawings relating to the Diaghilev's " Russian Seasons " 1910-1920 -ies and originating from the archives of one of the well-known member . They were purchased by me from the heirs of the owner ( for which of the drawings , in fact, carried out - this is the costumes ) as drawings Bilibin . But I was gnawing question : Bilibin it? I enclose a photo captions under one of the pictures . The heirs were read it as an option Bilibinsk monogram , where he wrote the Cyrillic alphabet , and B - Latin. In any case, it's the work of someone famous artists who are drawing sektakli " Russian Seasons" , if not Bilibin , then Benoit ( monogram can be read as a Latin "AB"). At the same time I send a sample of handwriting , which carried the inscription on the sketches . Maybe this will help.
I would be grateful for advice.
