Selling now Hlushchenko NP , Canvas oil 46,3 h57, 5 cm, 1950. The work was acquired from the artist Alfred Tanpetera Karlovich, who once exchanged sketches with Nikolai Petrovich. Exhibited at the exhibition dedicated to the 100 th anniversary of the artist in 2001.
 
 Nikolai Glushchenko sketch was born in Novomoskovsk Ekaterinoslav province (now Dnipropetrovsk region). In 1918 he graduated from Commercial College in Yuzovka (now Donetsk). Soon Glushchenko mobilization enlisted in Volunteer Army of Denikin. After some time, with the remnants of the White Guard units, he was on the territory of Poland. There he was captured and interned persons, and from there fled to Germany. Engaged in the Studio School Hans Balusheka in Berlin. In 1920-24 gg. studied at the Berlin Graduate School of Fine Arts. In 1925 he moved to Paris where he was influenced by French impressionists: Monet, E. Degas, Henri Matisse, Van Gogh. Created portraits Romain Roland and Henri Barbusse and others has designed the Soviet pavilion Lyon fairs.
By the beginning of the 1930's creative look Hlushchenko final shape, he emerged as a talented artist with his own original face. It is inherent in impressionistic painting, the subtle sense of the decorative expressiveness of color and freedom of expression.
In 1934 the artist made a creative journey to Spain to Balerskie Islands and Mallorca. In 1936 he returned to Moscow, and in 1944 he moved to Kiev.
Living in Berlin and Paris, Glushchenko combined role of an artist and a scout. Glushchenko was awarded the Order of Red Banner of Labor, was the title People's Artist of Ukraine and People's Artist of the USSR, was the winner of State. Prize. Shevchenko. Master paintings are in many Ukrainian and foreign museums and private collections. In the 1970's the artist enjoyed tinkering with machinery and monotypes created in it a number of beautiful floral still lifes.
