small biographical note about the author:

Leonid Mironov was born on 6 June 1930 in Leningrad. Before the war ended three classes of secondary school. Throughout the war from 1941 to 1945 with his mother and two sisters was in the besieged city. In 1944 he was awarded the medal "For Defense of Leningrad" for active participation in the defense of the city. From 1944 to 1951 he studied with the Central Art School, established in the thirties, SM Kirov and later named after him. In 1951, after graduation in the Secondary Art School enrolled in the Institute. IE Repin Academy of Arts of the RSFSR. In 1957 graduated at the Institute (workshop RR Frents). In 1960 was admitted to the picturesque section of the Leningrad branch of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR.

LY Mironov participated in many of Leningrad and the All-Union exhibitions. From 1960 to 1978 he taught at LVHPU them. VI Fly to the Department of General painting. Several years (from 1970 to 1978) worked in the brigade artist SP Lastochkina for festive decoration of the city - the Palace Square and the Palace of Pioneers.
