Leonid Mironov was born on 6 June 1930 in Leningrad. Before the war ended three classes of secondary school. Throughout the war from 1941 to 1945 with his mother and two sisters was in the besieged city. In 1944 he was awarded the medal "For Defense of Leningrad" for active participation in the defense of the city. From 1944 to 1951 he studied with the Central Art School, established in the thirties, SM Kirov and later named after him.
