That's how Giacometti reinterpreted by Cezanne.
For me, I confess, it is primarily vydyuyuschiysya easel. So this year we are celebrating the 110th anniversary of his birth - congratulations to all who have a passion for his art! |

Giacometti's always wanted to sculpt strange shapes "people-matches", deprived of natural proportions and facial features, standing or walking for a disproportionately long legs. In this way the artist tried to draw attention to the fragility of our existence and soreness in his attempts to rise above them. His bronze sculptures by Giacometti covered with small facet, which allows you to hold and absorb light. Thus was born the impression that the surrounding air corrodes the surface shape, and its uneven surface gives the impression of emotional tension and anxiety. 183-centimeter sculpture "Walking Man" is in some sense spiritual self-portrait of the author, who, despite their vulnerability, delicacy, and loneliness, obstinately continued to move towards achieving these goals. |
