The exhibition at the Gallery of Leonid Shishkin's called "A week before the flight" - it is possible to see paintings, graphics, installations, objects by artists of different generations. A huge wooden bird - a sculpture of Marat Babina - divide the exposition into two parts: the first are the work of authors have already entered the history of art, the second presents contemporary artists. Joyful shock suffered by humanity in connection with the short stay of Yuri Gagarin orbiting the Earth is now hard to imagine. More so - to reconstruct. It seemed that launched a new era in the history of civilization, that the old conflicts and tribulations, especially the earth, is about to sink into oblivion - in fact ahead of the conquest of the universe. Some even imagined, though on this occasion by themselves no longer exist differences of political systems and economic contradictions will disappear ... Perhaps this exhibition - it is about dreams. Or sometimes the opposite: disappointments.
