Leonid Shishkin Gallery (Moscow, Russia. Neglinnaya, 29/14, Metro Pipe, "" Color parkway) is the exhibition project dedicated to the 50 anniversary of the first manned space flight and the Year of Astronautics. The works of Russian cosmists socialist realists, nonconformists, as well as modern and relevant artists.

The exhibition "A week before the flight" will show works by artists of different times, different styles and trends. Not claiming to be complete representations of the theme "Space" and "aviation" in the art of XX-XXI centuries. And indeed in retrospect, Leonid Shishkin Gallery for the first time in its history exhibition goes beyond the "Soviet" and "classic" and it also shows the work modern, relevant artists.

The viewer sees the painting and graphics of the traditions of Russian cosmism, a member of society "Amaravella Boris Smirnov-Rusetsky, one of the leaders remain Alexandra Labasa; venerable socialist realists Alexander Silin, Nikolai Ovchinnikov, Boris Okorokov. Work cosmonaut Alexey Leonov and artist cosmist Andrei Sokolov.
And yet - the representatives of the so-called «non-art of XX century»: Valentin Okorokov, Andrei Grositsky, Alexei Vorobiev, Vladimir Tryamkin, Boris Kocheyshvili, Alexander Lozowy. And, of course, artists and sculptors turn of the millennium. Sergei Shutov, Sergei Basilio, Konstantin Batynkov, Andrew Dillendorf, Sergei Chesnokov, Ladyzhenskii, Vladislav Efimov, Marina Zvyagintsev, Sergei Katran, Vladimir Smolyar, Daria Surovtseva, etc. These are different, they all "premonition" your space or just dreaming about it.
Finally, in a small section «Memorabilia» you will see the real images from space, vintage photographs and documents, books and even rare red sleeve "bandage-terrain vehicle" to launch a bunker, with murals Gagarin, Korolev and other top designers. The dressing, by the way, belonged to the legendary test pilot, Hero of the Soviet Union, writer and instructor of the very first of the six astronauts Mark Gallai. His memory of the organizers also dedicate this exhibition.
