Ultramarine. But in ancient times there was no gradation of symbols on the subtle nuances. Any "dead roses" and "colored thigh frightened nymph - much later generation. Therefore, the blue symbols in general follows the symbolism of the blue. Disagree?

"Gray Cardinal" - this is just "éminence grise", the so-called father of Joseph, backstage advisor Cardinal Richelieu (or Mazarin? Do not remember), that is, in French the word "cardinal" in this expression is absent.
