Default 22 Moscow International Book Fair.

To begin the story of some publishers and their books. I will not write about mass product and try to find the books for the professional art market professional and amateur art. Let's get started ...

Published Art-XXI century »www.iskusstvo21.ru phone 7 (499) 241-64-65

Despite the current name, skate publishers are artists-emigrants early 20 century. Perhaps, this company has no equal - they make serious and colorful book-study series "Artists of the Russian emigration":
Example: Chaim Soutine, 376 pages, edition 1500. Author of the book - St. Petersburg art critic MY Herman.
Serebryakov, Larionov, Chagall and others complement the thick monograph on this subject.

It is worth noting other publications:
Lansere, Diaries of 3 books.
E. Dempsey Styles schools, direction "
Yakymovych "Flying over the abyss. Art, culture and world view. 1930-1990
A. Assumption "Author realizm.Iz history of Russian painting of 20-30s"
K. Carriere "Consumption and pop-art"

Publishers' InterbookBusiness » wwwinterbook-art.ru tel. 7 (495) 650-13-92, (67-66)
Specializes in colorful books about Moscow and other cities (St. Petersburg, Novgorod, Pskov, Vologda, Lipetsk, Saratov, Yaroslavl ...), as well as arts and crafts. Can recommend:
LL Pirogov "Russian lacquer painting. XXI Century
"Gorodetskaya painting"
"Pavlovoposadskaya Shawl
"Rostov enamel"
"Kholui lacquer miniature"
Golden Khokhloma "
"Mstera lacquer miniature"
"Vologda lace"
"Jeweler's Art of Russia"
"Russian enamel end of the twentieth century"
Tyumen carpet "
"Kubachi"
Northern carved bone "
"Kasli"
Print quality and design from criticism.

Not seen, but can not guarantee that it was not. The fact is that now I am fascinated by Russian artists of the early 20 century, because paying particular attention to this area: Jawlensky, Labas, Serebryakov, Feshin, Lanskoy, Suetin, Soutine, Malevich, Goncharova, Kandinsky, Larionov, Frentz, Sarsuns, Lansere, Benoit - it just happened.

But in the store, probably very expensive!

Very expensive! So I rarely buy from the sale of paintings, but the quality of the reproductions is very good. There I bought a David Hockney. It was not anywhere else. Well, so basically looking. Bonnard was not there. There is also a French edition, but he was long gone on sale. And in Paris, I missed it. Bonnard and Matisse, as the founders of modern painting.
But I have a collection of books up to 30 g for Arts and Culture and several rooms of the Red Niwa for 26g. I have no royal perepiski.Segodnya looked a lot more just not dismantled. All 20-30g.

Highly recommend this exhibition!

I was there a constant visitor in 1998, with some publishers have already been working directly. I recommend buying directly from publishers, I write about - saving up to 30-50%compared to the store. If it will be interesting - I can order for your albums in the publishing house of the Russian Museum - at this show, I met with the leadership and established contacts.

There are tricks when buying books in publishing houses. Recently published book is quite expensive. It takes several years, and the price is greatly reduced. Stores do not like to communicate with the books from which the year 2007 and below. Publisher, naturally, begins to cut prices in order not to keep copies in stock. Therefore, I recommend buying albums editions 2000-2007 year. New - only if you really want and no patience to wait. But ... if sold out, we can not wait for lower prices. However, there is so much publish books!

Unfortunately, before there were other possibilities for the printing industry. This is especially true artistic albums. I was recently on the "legacy" inherited a collection of thin. albums and directory publishing 60-80 years of 20 century: how Soviet and printed abroad. Alas, the quality of photographs of paintings evokes a feeling of frustration for me neizvestnogot collector, that the USSR was spending big money in those days. Now even the "White City", known bad old quality printing, print an order of magnitude better than in those time printed in Italy, Finland or Austria. What can we say about black and white catalogs from exhibitions of painting! Look miniatures - they can only weakly to recall what has been seen previously in the museum. But I find in this a certain charm - sometimes the audience itself is fantasy to think out of the artist.

And today - expanse!

PS

My thoughts are totally relate to the Soviet and modern editions of literature. I talked only about the artistic release.
