Amateur, Maybe you should not have to provide the text of the inventory?
That would be a reasonable solution. Had made a photo picture and asked to express an opinion on it as a painting by an unknown artist. They asked to make hypotheses about the possible authorship. I am sure the debate would become a much more practical nature. And you immediately - Rembrandt ... For detection of unknown paintings by Rembrandt would be without any exaggeration, an event of world significance. Miracles happen, but, basically, in fairy tales, so forum users and have decided that you tell them a story.

On language. We're not discussing your personal statements, but only the style and language of the "inventory" , drawn not by you. At the forum a lot of people whose native language is not Russian, they will never have absolutely no complaints. Moreover, the forum will be only too happy to add new members and expanding its geography. But agree that the inventory of an unknown until now confidently assert the authorship of paintings by Rembrandt, you must have good human (or even better - art history) education. Such education requires a good command of language as a matter of razumeescheesya. And when you see some, shall we say, "rough" language, and inaccuracies in terms involuntarily begin to doubt and professional qualifications of the man who wrote this "inventory", as well as in its conclusions.

You personally have absolutely no complaints. You did the right thing, had doubts about the authorship of Rembrandt. And if you think that the discussion was somehow marked hurt you, then please accept an apology.
