Wroblewski Konstantin Kharitonovich (Joseph-Valentin Kaetanovich) March 11, 1868 (Letichiv Kamenetz Podolsk province) - 1939 (Poland) Painter and graphic artist. Came from a family of Polish nobility. In 1880 he studied at the Odessa Art School. In 1890 he moved to St. Petersburg, where he enrolled at IAH. Engaged in landscape class at AIKuindzhi. In 1893 he was awarded a small silver medal. In 1897, for the painting "In the Carpathians" and "Morning" was the title of the artist. In 1898, together with other students AIKuindzhi traveled to Europe, which was organized and financed AIKuindzhi. Visited Berlin, Dresden, Paris and Vienna. Participated in the Spring exhibition in the halls of the Academy of Fine Arts, exhibitions of the Moscow Society of Lovers of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg Society of Artists. In 1898-1902 at the invitation of N. Globa taught at the Stroganov School of Industrial Art, the same was part of the school committee. Long worked in the Carpathian Mountains, where he created many landscapes, in particular, "Hilltops", "Carpathian Evening" (both - 1898), "Tatra Mountains" (1899), "Evening in the Mountains" (1890), "Kamenetz Castle" (1908) "Cypresses" (1911) and others. In 1905 he was awarded his prize at the competition. AIKuindzhi for the painting "In the church yard." From 1906 he taught at the school princess Tenisheva Drawing School and the Society for the Encouragement of Arts. In 1915 he won the Count Stroganoff for landscapes. Artworks Wroblewski repeatedly reproduced in the magazine "Capital and Country", "Sun of Russia", "Twinkle", "Niva". In 1909 he joined the board of the society. AIKuindzhi, in 1918 became its chairman. In 1921 he emigrated, settling in Poland. In 1929, exhibited his works at the exhibition of Russian art in Copenhagen. Wroblewski works are in several museum and private collections, including the State Russian Museum, the Scientific Research Museum of Russia Academy of Arts and others. |
