Scotland Yard will be trained to look for criminals through Facebook and Twitter
British police will teach search for criminals through social networks and blogs, writes The Guardian.
The training course will include principles for the collection of information in the microblog Twitter and social networking site Facebook. Also note the detectives to the issues associated with the recovery of data from PCs and mobile phones. The educational program is designed for 3500 students a year.
London police are now using Facebook and Twitter, trying to look into the murder of 17-year old Marvin Henry. According to investigators, he became the victim of a clash between two rival youth gangs.
Also in February 2010, Scotland Yard have been blocked dozens of accounts of criminals serving their sentences. Some of them are bullied via Facebook over their victims, and even a repeat offender Colin Gunn managed through a social network of their gang activities.
