Turner exhibition at the Pushkin

In the Pushkin exhibition opened on Nov. 17, Joseph Mallord William Turner (Oxon, 1775 - Oxford, 1851).

I was there on opening day, because I really like the creativity of the artist and it was time to call to see. I remember at one time was struck by his work at the National Gallery in London. The bright saturated colors superimposed on one another, create a sense of the fantastic space, and sometimes it seems that the image is alive. Such infrequent in nature will see.

I do not know why, but Pushkin went on to the traditional way and brought things (it's supported by Usmanov) only from the Tate Gallery in Londne Britten, and as I understand it is not the best. In the Pushkin also occupy much of the early work in which a lot of classicism, and very little valued by us Turner. a little bit about Turner:
In the Tate has a large part of the so-called "Turner's Treasure": the artist gave the state about a hundred paintings, which include paintings, recognized the most important in his career.

It is believed that in due time Turner made a revolution in the genre of landscape. He proposed a new vision of art, which made him one of the most significant artists of the XIX century. Turner was one of the most famous artists of his time. He has written over five hundred paintings and about fifteen hundred watercolors. Since the beginning of his career, English painter huge success. At fourteen he entered the school of the Royal Academy of Arts, and very soon his paintings were exhibited at its annual exhibitions. At the age of twenty-six years, Turner became the youngest academician in the history of this prestigious educational institution, and five years later became professor of perspective.

At the beginning of his career, Turner worked primarily in watercolor and drawing, but soon he wanted to become a respected painter and began to paint with oil, such as "Fishermen at Sea" (1796), which became the first artist's paintings, exhibited at the Royal Academy.

Later in his painting and drawing, he began to focus on elements that have become characteristic of the style, which he followed many of his "classic" works. He began to pay attention to atmospheric effects, seek to pass through various means (mostly watercolor) the illusion of "Sublime".

After some time Turner set about trying to portray in pictures various important events. He traveled extensively in Europe, especially after the end of 1815 the Napoleonic wars. In his works of that time he used the new colorful pigments that have made it a palette more colorful. After the war Turner wrote on various subjects: his fascinated and paintings of rural life and urban realities of industrial society.

The most brilliant work - works created by Turner in the sunset of his more than 50-year career. They all its scenic effects are mixed in a single luminous mass, serving as an allegory for the unity of nature. In Turner's later works can be seen the beginnings of abstraction (this is the way, mid 19 th century !!!!!)
