The exhibition is devoted to two representatives of arts groups: Boris Alekseevich Smirnov-Rusetsky and Victor Tikhonovich Chernovolenko. The exhibition presents the work of BA Smirnov-Rusetski and VT Chernovolenko from the funds of the Regional Museum of Northern Ladoga them. T. Hakkarainen, St. Petersburg State Museum Institute of the Roerich family and private collections.
The work of the creative group "Amaravella" created in 1923, still attract the views of many lovers of painting. It brought together the first in our country artists cosmists: AP Sardana (sheep), BA Smirnova-Rusetski, PP Fateev, S. Shigoleva, VT Fine arts and VN Pshesetskuyu (Fleece). Fabrics artists boldly and very convincingly embodied what was written in his scientific writings Tsiolkovsky, VI Vernadsky,

They opened the inner eye of the mysterious interaction of cosmic rhythms and the planet Earth and human prototypes of the future - has overcome the fetters of matter and enjoy the other worlds. Time, in which the master lived and worked "Amaravella", was marked by discoveries in science and completely changed picture of the prevailing worldview, and these changes have inspired artists. But the most powerful influence on their creativity and outlook had a meeting with Nicholas and Helena Roerich, who visited the capital in 1926. From these artists have learned about the teachings of the Living Ethics, ideas which were so in tune with their spiritual and creative research. Exhibition "Amaravella", held in 1927 in New York (Nicholas Roerich Museum), and in 1928, in Chicago, had a huge success, but the fate of artists evolved tragically. In 1929 in Moscow, the last of their exhibition "Life - Creativity." In 1930, Vera Pshesetskaya and
Alexander Sardan were arrested. In the early 40's repression of
Sergey Shigolev and
Boris Smirnov-Rusetskij. Others were forced to leave in the creative underground. " The work of the survivors
Fateev,
Chernovolenko and
Sardan for painting and not returned. Bright and original art of these remarkable artists, united in the mid 1920's in the creative alliance with such an unusual and beautiful name, only now rated on merit. The enormous creative potential "Amaravella" was not revealed until the end, but its artistic heritage occupies a significant place in the history of Russian and world art.
