There at the bottom right is signed by a fairly well-known Soviet artist: like this "- 40". This artist is well represented in the market, and although the number of "blue chips" of the market, he certainly is not included, but a solid "second tier" of the Soviet artists is uniquely included. Sorry for the slang use of the stock, but I think the participants here are mostly people for whom an interest in painting has either a commercial or investment, and therefore I am thinking of the idea is clear to all.
A couple of years ago VNIIR refused to take this picture for examination on the grounds that the artist (whose signature is hidden) "of such works do not write." However, it seems to me that, despite the fact that, instead of industrial pipes and masts of ships are shown stick forest, yet the general style of this particular artist and this work can be traced - and in the color and concept.

Well, yes, it is most likely: Initials and last name (no points) and tsyfra 40. Oh, and all other sensations from the picture just as the subject does not contradict the conclusion that this is the year of writing.
Who said that? I do not know, my husband wore. But someone has a solid, because after that he did not dare it somewhere to offer.

Initials - "MT" And on the bridle signed in ink "Nyssa George G., and probably on a stretcher overseas sellers carved himself: 'Russky malir Nisskiy Grigoriy Grigorievich".
Do you also consider that not look like one?
