Today, 29 April, at 17.00 at the State Museum of Orient (Nikitsky Boulevard, 12a) presents "Rahmat, Tashkent" (painting, graphic arts of Central Asia of the war years), organized by the Museum with the participation of Historical and Architectural Museum "New Jerusalem" and private collectors.
The exhibition is devoted to 1965 anniversary of the Victory. The exhibition will be about 50 graphics and 20 paintings by famous artists who lived during the war years in the evacuation of Central Asia. Among them are works of VA Favorskogo, R. Falk, A. Nuernberg, S. Gerasimov, L. Kramarenko, I. Zhdanko, M. Axelrod, A. Labasa, as well as artists of Uzbekistan - A. Volkov, Benkov, Z. Kowalewski, M. Nikiforova, V. Kedrina W. Tansykbaev, A. Podkovyrova.

Many works will be exhibited for the first time, including some of the Nuremberg watercolors, gouaches Zhdanko, Axelrod, drawings Falk and others.
The title of the exhibition had been on a line from a poem by Anna Akhmatova (as we know, living in evacuation in Tashkent) - thanks to the generosity of the Middle Earth, local residents, who gave shelter to many disadvantaged people to war. Rahmat in Uzbek means thank you.
The outbreak of war in Central Asia were evacuated, many art institutions. Artists meet the unique world of ancient monuments, tart southern nature, friendly people. Artists, creating images in his works of peace, a beautiful eternal nature, helped to dream of victory, to approach it - and to survive, to overcome the war.
The presence of a strong and reliable rear genuine unity of people in many ways contributed to the victory.
