Painting Chinese artist Liu E was sold on April 5 for 2,5 million dollars at auction at Sotheby's in Hong Kong, reports Bloomberg.
This is the maximum amount that was paid for a work of contemporary Chinese artists in the past two years. According to analysts, this indicates the restoration of art-roaring to pre-crisis indicators. Contemporary art has reached the maximum performance at the auction in May 2008, when the work Zeng Fanchzhi was sold for 75.4 million Hong Kong dollars.
