Restorative Committee also rejected the demand to return the number of paintings to the heirs of owners of antique galleries Katsev, in particular, the daughter of one of them - Sybil Goldstein-Katz. Since 2007, the relatives of gallery owners demand the government return them to the Netherlands 227 paintings, including works by artists of the first magnitude - Frans Hals and Salomon van Ruisdael. Their work may be one of the largest restitution claims in the modern history museum of the Netherlands. But by September 2009 Restorative committee refused to recognize the legitimate claims of 31 now. The verdict on the remaining will be delivered in 2010.
