With regard to the interests of some media to the exhibition activities of our State Hermitage Museum informs that the exhibition activities - one of the most important areas of the museum, along with scientific, archival, restoration.

Exhibitions in leading museums around the world and in the Hermitage centers abroad and in Russia say Russia's view of world art. In 2008, the State Hermitage Museum has prepared and conducted in Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Mexico, 8 exhibitions, which was presented to 1,099 pieces, and gave the other 39 show 424 exhibits. In the same year in Russia there were 2 Hermitage exhibition, which displayed 537 works, as well as the other 9 Russian exhibitions with the participation of the Hermitage was granted 143 exhibits. In the first half of 2009 the State Hermitage exhibition held in Kazan, Veliky Novgorod, and Yekaterinburg, they presented 732 exhibits. On the other 6 exhibitions in other museums with the Hermitage in Russia in the same period, given the 262 exhibits. Abroad in 2009 (in the Netherlands, Austria and Japan) opened 3 organized by the Hermitage exhibition, which presented 2,673 exhibits. In the same year, the State Hermitage Museum has provided for another 21 shows abroad 221 exhibit.

Increased interest in the exhibition activities of the State Hermitage Museum at the expense of interest in similar activities of other museums in Russia, we are encouraged, because once again testifies to the special place of the Hermitage in world culture.


However, we have reason to think that in a crisis revenues and expenses associated with the exhibition activities, cause a certain range of material interest and desire to participate in them. Can be varied to assess interest in the partners of the Hermitage. In modern terms, the action of the Federal Law N 94, on our horizon, many new partners. Check them, as well as to individual persons, legally very difficult. We believe that many contractors Hermitage really deserve attention not only from the provincial and competitive standpoint.
