"At this exhibition presents 330 works of two artists, 70 of them - from the collection of George Kostaki, and as those that are in Greece, and those that are kept in the Tretyakov Gallery," - said the director of a Greek museum.
"In addition, many museums of Russia took part in the exhibition - the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, Bakhrushin Theater Museum, Museum of Architecture named Shchusev Museums of Tula, Astrakhan, Kirov Region, Nizhni Novgorod, Krasnoyarsk and Dagestan," - added Greek art .
Rodchenko and Popova have passed their way every avant-garde art, and met in constructivism - the last movement of the Russian avant-garde in the 20 years of the twentieth century, "said museum director.

The exhibition is held in Greece after it went to the London Tate Modern, where the work of Rodchenko and Popova saw more than 100 thousand visitors. The exhibition has received excellent press in the UK. The current exhibition in Greece will continue until September 20.
In addition to paintings, the Greek audience presents installations, photographs, drawings, archival material, stage sets, covers of magazines.
Artist, graphic designer and Lyubov Popova (1889-1924) was a prominent member of the avant-garde movements such as Suprematism, Cubism, kubofuturizm, constructivism. Alexander Rodchenko (1891-1956) - artist and photographer, one of the leaders of Russian avant-garde. Paintings Rodchenko and Popova have been saved by the late avant-garde art collector George Costakis, who in 1978 left the Soviet Union, giving most of its outstanding collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery. A relatively small part of the collection was enough for a museum of modern art in the Greek Thessaloniki, which is now the only museum of Russian avant-garde in the world
