Briton found in the attic of paintings by 100 thousand pounds
Briton Max Power found in his attic collection of paintings worth at least 100 thousand pounds (164 thousand dollars), reports The Daily Telegraph.
Paintings were written by his stepfather - a famous German artist Erich Volsfeldom, who died in 1956. About twenty years ago, died Volsfelda wife, mother of Max Block. The rest of it a legacy of her husband had been forgotten in the attic. Found pictures - about twenty-finished and unfinished, hundreds of prints and drawings - will be sold at auction in Knutsforde July 7. Block hopes that pictures of his stepfather will be sold to a good home. Erich Volsfeld was born in Prussia in 1884, in 1904 he was admitted to the Berlin Academy of Arts, was a famous artist in his homeland, but was forced to flee to Britain after he began to chase the Nazis came to power.
