Rusakov Alexander Isaakovich was born 29 March 1898 in the city of Sevsk Orel province. In 1900 he lived with his parents in St. Petersburg. Studied with artist Ignatieva, M. He was a member of a "Community of artists". A founding member of the society "Circle of artists" (1926-1932).
From 1932 member of the Leningrad Union of Soviet artists. Participated in exhibitions since the mid-1920s, present their works, along with works by the leading masters of fine arts in Leningrad. He painted portraits, landscapes, genre paintings, still lifes. Worked in the technique of oil and tempera painting. In the early period were influenced by the French school of painting (P. Cezanne, A. Matiss, A. Marche). Master of the urban landscape. The author of the graphic and pictorial series of Leningrad and its environs. During the war remained in Leningrad, was exhibited at the siege exhibition 1943.
