born artist in 1890 . in the village Kholui family iconographer craftsman who lived , like many then in permanent poverty . In 1897 . Sergei went to school , where he studied three subjects : arithmetic , grammar, and the law of God . Total boy studied for 7 years.
Flunky is one of the centers of Russian iconography , so the boy's future path was predetermined - he went to study in workshops Guardianship of Russian iconography. Training workshops lasted four years . Students there were receiving academic drawing , constructing perspectives and drawing from nature , the course iconographic art. Then, each determined as an apprentice to someone from the masters.
