Default Treasure for a billion euro?

German customs officers found literally treasure. In one of the apartments in Munich in 1500 , they found paintings of the classics of modernism, among them paintings by Picasso , Chagall, Nolde, Kokoschka and others. Many of them were confiscated by the Nazis and has since been regarded as missing without a trace. The estimated cost of discovery - a billion euros.

According to the German magazine "Focus", the Bavarian customs officers found pictures during a search at the beginning of 2011 Why is the public learned about the discovery is only now , Focus does not specify. Found among the masterpieces of Pablo Picasso , Henri Matisse , Marc Chagall, Emil Nolde, Franz Marc , Max Beckmann , Paul Klee , Oskar Kokoschka , Ernst Ludwig Kirchner and Max Liebermann (Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Marc Chagall, Emil Nolde, Franz Marc, Max Beckmann, Paul Klee, Oskar Kokoschka, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Max Liebermann). According to Focus, the pieces have been found in a small apartment " underground collector" of expired products and leftovers can opener .
Most of the paintings were confiscated by the Nazis as "degenerate art" from Jewish collectors. Subsequently, they were purchased in the 30's - 40's German art dealer Hildebrandt Gurlitt (Hildebrand Gurlitt). His son Cornelius Gurlitt (Cornelius Gurlitt) half a century kept the "legacy " in his Munich apartment, slowly selling off his , and living on the proceeds . In 2010, Cornelius Gurlitt , the existence of which is still nobody knew , came to the attention of German customs officers during a random check on the train - he was carrying a large sum of cash from Switzerland to Munich. Bavarian police have launched an investigation in early 2011 decided to search the suspect's apartment .

Picture of Max Beckmann trainer lvov.Tsirk , sold through Gurlitt Cologne Lempertz auction for 864 thousand evroKartiny , the total value of which is according to the magazine Focus around a billion euros, are on one of bonded warehouses in Garching , near Munich . At least 300 of them belong to the so -called "degenerate art" at least 200 - officially listed as a wanted man.
Against 80 -year-old Gurlitt now prosecuted for tax evasion. According to Focus, after the search , he managed to sell through auction Cologne Lempertz picture of Max Beckmann , which earned her 864 thousand Euro .
The sensation was the fact that the apartment was found Gurlitt female portrait by Henri Matisse , which belonged to the Jewish art collector Paul Rosenberg . Rosenberg was forced to give up his collection and emigrate after the Nazis marched into Paris . Rosenberg is the granddaughter of Anne Sinclair , the former wife of the notorious head of the IMF, Dominique Strauss- Kahn. According to Focus, it is already several decades seeking the return of works that were part of a collection of her grandfather. She still knew nothing about the existence of a female portrait by Matisse .

Thank you for your message.
This earth-shattering event.
It draws on a review of some ideas about what happened ...

I wonder what percentage of professionally crafted fakes ? It is no wonder that suddenly found - tired of auctioneers chew the same thing, and the prices for this " bubble gum " is obscenely overpriced .

And who is he going to sell them , given the prospect of the millennium of the Reich, which was then still no one has repealed ? Maybe he knew the secret of immortality , or was familiar with Stirlitz ? <! - ~ 10 ~ ->
This whole "story" is sewn with white thread , while the purpose is viewed by more than clear.

Yes, an interesting situation.

Assume that all true picture of the real (let matters how they got there, the war, the Nazis, etc.), we assume are his son.

So what?

Here's how to do it would be to cash in on this and not get caught?

Konstantin, IMHO, the situation is quite usual for hereditary collector-dealer-purpose, all to sell and go to Hawaii it was not, and a living selling slowly that the thread is not too conspicuous, Matisse did not sell
.
