Alfiya Ponomarenko June 11, 1965 was born in Engels, Saratov region.
Took up painting in five years. In school Alfiya enrolled in art school and graduated with distinction. Then, after graduation went to art school (vocational) the name of the artist hierarchy. Already the school successfully obtained portraits of people she caught the man's character and a large portrait likeness. Especially fond of painting portraits of children. And of course, flowers, flowers in large quantities ... Often painted landscapes en plein air.
 After graduating from art school went to work in the shops at the Union of Artists of Russia, a portrait painter. At age 20, she trusted to write such important works as the portraits of the members of the Politburo, headed by Mikhail Gorbachev.
Her first solo exhibition was held in the home of Engels in 1994. In the early 2000s, Ponomarenko decided to conquer Europe. His first trip to France brought the artist to success - in December 2002 in Nice, the exhibition "Russian Winter". In 2006, 2010 Ponomarenko work exhibited in Monaco.
