Evgeny Lions are one of those who laid the foundations of Soviet art. The beginning of his creative life coincided with the revolutionary events of 1917. This is largely determined the fate of the creative artist. Irrevocably accepting the idea of ​​revolution, he headed out in the struggle to build a new socialist culture.
1917 was the year. The young artist, a graduate of the School of Painting, Sculpture izodchestva, organized in Nizhny Novgorod, the art room, which immediately zheprevraschaetsya in the artistic center of the city. A year later, under the chairmanship of EA Lviv-based art studio created the first Russian Union of Nizhny Novgorod professional painters.
