Help to identify and evaluate the author's picture!

Painted on canvas with oil.

Amateur painting.

2.
Old (not later than the first quarter of the XIX century), most likely - authenticity.

If you try to remove the signature with no glare, I think - easily readable.
Although this will have little effect (see paragraph 1).
