Album monuments of religious art from the collection of one of the oldest museums in Kiev, the collection of which was disbanded after the revolution. High quality reproductions make this edition printed monument of art, and the tragic fate of most generic items - an important document of the history of art. Two issues of the five. Rarity.

Issue 1 is dedicated to the famous collection of icons of Sinai and Athos Bishop Porfiry Uspensky (the most famous items from this collection, now adorn the exhibition of Byzantine art in the Kiev Museum of Art named after Bogdan and Varvara Khanenko). Issue 2 includes, as stated in the title, "Sorokin-Filaret collection of Russian icons different poshiba or letters."

An instance of excellent preservation. Professionally restored last four pages of the second issue (damage, however, almost did not affect the reproduction and text, referring only fields). In a composite cover the postwar period, the British work (whole cloth spine - lamination skin with gold lettering).
