Biography of the artist:
Nikolai Petrovich Chuprina was born in 1928 in Ukraine (the village of Korsun, Donetsk region). Graduated from the Kharkov Art College. Samokisha, where he received an honors degree, and the Kharkov Art Institute, who also graduated with honors. He studied in the studio of Shaposhnikov and in E. Egorova, A. Chernov. From 1956 he worked in the Crimea. In 1960 he joined the Union of Artists of Ukraine. Holds the title of Honored Artist of the Crimea.
Since the beginning of creativity involved in regional, national, Union and international exhibitions. The first professional exhibition was held in Simferopol in 1988 second place in honor of the 70th anniversary of the artist.
By 1990, the counterpart Nicolas Chuprina - sculptors, artists, art with surprising unanimity, supported his nomination for the title of Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR. But it coincided with the collapse of the USSR and the materials submitted documents were lost somewhere in the bureaucratic "rubble".

In his collection of over 200 paintings: portraits, landscapes, still lifes, and numerous sketches, pictures.
His works are in museums and galleries in the CIS and in private collections in Spain, France, Germany, Holland, USA and Japan.
The Louvre (France) is one of the most outstanding works of the artist - "Portrait of a woman" (1959)
