Vladimir Samarin (1926-1994 gg.)

Born in the village Homutovka Voronezh region.
In 1957 he graduated from the Moscow Higher School of Industrial Art (former Stroganov). After the end of the Stroganov School for nearly thirteen years he was engaged in designing interiors of commercial airplanes.
Getting creative work since 1960.
Professional activities Samarin was associated with the combine artwork in Khimki. Here he was engaged in linocut, plastic engraving, engraving and etching on metal, including one of the most fastidious of its varieties - mezzotint. Samarin this complex technology mastered independently, collecting the bits of tools and methods of work. In his drawings brothers produced granilnik (rocker), who served as master for many years. Own intuition became his guide in learning mezzotint.
Since 1975 - Member of the Union of Artists.
MOOSKH board member from 1989 to 1992.

Not so long ago - in the fall - in the House Chaliapin was an exhibition mezzotint , many works from the collection P.Romanova , of Marina Lazareva - V.A.Samarina student , and of course it works. " Assumption Cathedral " was in color. Actually quite amazing technique, very difficult, and , as they say , just something in the world of hundreds of artists working in this medium . The show was wonderful.
