Gregory Antonovich (Avgustovich) Bondarenko (31.1 (12.2) .1892, Novogeorgiyevsk - 31.01.1969, Kharkov) - Ukrainian painter, graphic artist, book illustrator, a professor of the Kharkov Art and Industry Institute.
Biography
Son Russified Baltic Germans, a veteran of the Crimean War, George Knight, cabinetmaker August Lyapsa and Ukrainian Maria Bondarenko. (My parents were not married: Lutheran Lyaps not want to move to Orthodoxy, and their children - a daughter and five sons - were her mother's name.)
He studied at the Art School Mirgorodskaya (1909), the Vilnius School of Drawing [1] (1909-11) at the same time as H. Soutine, Odessa Art School [2] (1911-15) with K.
