Felix was born in Volossenkov Krasnoarmeisk Donetsk region in 1944. He graduated from the Art School in Baku. Then studying for an art director at the Leningrad State Institute of Music, theater and film.

Since 1984 Volossenkov exhibited along with Valery Lukka and Vyacheslav Mikhailov. Together with V. Mikhailov Lucca and formed a group of "Three Heroes". His calling artists see their overthrow outdated picturesque canons.

In 1994, in order to support and develop new areas of contemporary art founded the St. Petersburg Academy of Contemporary Art of the immortals.

In 2012 he was invited to Samara Academic Opera and Ballet as artistic director of the ballet by Prokofiev "Romeo and Juliet."

For painting Volosenkov typical use of mixed media, making the work through the use of texture of fabric, foam, gesso, etc. Constant character works Volosenkov - God of Hair, Old Slavic god. Most of the master's work is treated as a phenomenon of the hair through the landscape, still life, different scenes and subjects.
