People's Artist of Russia, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation (1975).
Twice champion of the USSR basketball ( 1930s ).
He studied at the Art Studios Moskprofobra , then in
VHUTEMAS - VHUTEINe N.N.Kupriyanova and in the department of training painters in the Moscow Institute of Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in V.N.Baksheeva .
In the 1920s , the 30th - book illustrations Esenin "Moscow Taverns " (1928) , D.Londona "Beast from the Abyss" (1926), M.Pokrovskogo "Russian history" P.Blyahina "Red Devils" , V.Margerit " Whore ", K.Levina "Russian soldiers ," Pushkin 's "Ruslan and Lyudmila" Yu.Libedinskogo " commissars " M.Slobodskogo " New Adventures of the Good Soldier Schweik ."
