Default Price "Princess Tarakanov."

Today, on the birthday of Konstantin Flavitsky (1830, Moscow, 1866, St. Petersburg) glavnoeproizvedenie want to remember this artist - painting "Princess Tarakanov" and its history.

The artist wrote etukartinu in 1863 and in 1864 received the title of professor for her.
Unfortunately Konstantin lived a very short life. Just two years after the success of the picture he had died from the disease.
The very same picture "Princess Tarakanova" written on almost legendary story. She is devoted to Russian adventuress, declared himself the daughter of Elizabeth and the Earl Raumovskogo and begun to claim the throne. Tarakanov was imprisoned by Count Alexei Orlov in prison and died there in 1775. One legend has it that the princess was drowned in the fortress during the flood. The legend is beautiful, but is not true, as the flood occurred in 1777, two years after the death of the princess.
And, of course, the plot is angered the Emperor Alexander II. In the catalog of the Paris Exhibition in 1867 at his command was made angry postscript: «The plot is adapted from the novel that does not have any historical truth."
But, despite the monarch discontent painting a great success. Drew attention to the picture Pavel Tretyakov, and wanted to have it in their collection. Tretyakov Flavitsky offered to buy it for 5000 silver rubles, but set a price Tretyakov 3,000 rubles.

From a letter by PM Tretyakov - KD Flavitsky:
Quote:
I have proposed amount, as you know, three thousand. Despite my great desire to have your picture in my gallery, consisting solely of the Russian school, I can only regret the fact that we can not get off, since you will not retreat a single step from its price.
But while there were talks to buy paintings, the artist died. It happened in September 1866. After his death, his brother Nicholas and John asked for a picture of a fabulous sum in those days: 60,000 francs or 18,000 rubles in silver and set the condition that the product will be sold only after his participation in the Paris Exhibition of 1867. After returning from World's Fair, where it was sold, Tretyakov acquired the painting for 4300 silver rubles.

Finding of Moses by Pharaoh's daughter- I found nothing about this item , except for the image of the White City and size. Perhaps it should be put next to a question mark about the authorship .

Actually, this picture is from 1925 - at the State Russian Museum. Maybe there will not agree with a question mark ? ?

Since topic touched on in this thread, let me ask, and what could be the price of this painting now?
Well, at least hypothetically.
