Not all artists are dying in poverty and forgotten.
The artist-portraitist Hungarian - Jewish Philip Alexis de Laszlo (30 April 1869, Budapest - 22 November 1937, London), received a knighthood for his portraits of European aristocracy and members of the monarchist names. He was born in Budapest in the family of the Jewish weaver. Laszlo childhood keen on photography, especially portraits. But made him famous painting. In 1903, Laszlo moved from Budapest to Vienna, and in 1907 moved to England. In 1912 he received a knighthood from the Emperor of Hungary Franz Joseph I. In 1900 Laszlo married to the representative of a rich and ancient clan of Guinness. They first met in Munich in 1892, but a few years they were forbidden to see each other. Friendships and family ties, Lucy, no doubt, served to strengthen the reputation of her husband and receiving his orders. A couple had six children, most of whom were married to members of the British aristocratic birth.
