Emile Louis Picot (Emile-Louis Picault) (1833-1915), famous French sculptor. He studied under Louis Royer. Exhibited at the Salon from 1863 to 1909 . He worked on the allegorical , ancient , warlike patriotic themes . Repeatedly he was awarded gold and silver medals . His works are in museums in Paris , Dijon and Marseille . Creation wizard gained popularity with the public. They eagerly bought up by representatives of the French aristocratic nobility and the bourgeoisie , decorating their living rooms and classrooms.

At work, there are small cracks ( a hand is seen in the photo ) - requires restoration. Height 35 cm, weight of 2 kg. The sculpture was taken from Hungary as a trophy of World War II .
