In 1899 he graduated from the Stroganov School in Moscow.
From 1906 to 1912 he continued his education abroad. He participated in exhibitions in Germany, Austria, Italy and France.
Freedom of artistic manners prevailed in Paris early twentieth century turned the idea of ​​the young painter, and art and of itself. From humble talented artisan Vikenty Trofimov became bold innovator, temperamental colorist, fans of the most radical artistic practices.
