I'm tired of fighting in the solitude of this puzzle and ask for help forum.
I have a work of Leopold Louis Robert (ROBERT Léopold Louis, 1794-1835). It's called "The Italian gangster on holiday", oil on paper glued to canvas, 19.5 x 26 cm The painting was in a Russian possession, which follows from an old inscription on the canvas and the tergite. The frame is likely to own, it is difficult to discernible inscription, clearly visible for only a year of giving - 1890. Birochki 2 pcs. + Some kind of inscription on the stretcher. Before formulating the problem, a little bit - about the artist. Leopold Louis Robert (or Robert), a pupil of Edward Girardet and Jacques-Louis David, was one of the most fashionable artists of the time of Napoleon. So popular that he was elected an art teacher for Charlotte Bonaparte, who played in his life the most tragic part. To me repeat, read a brief biography of the artist here: http://www.liveinternet.ru/users/liz...post179773740/ The terrible suicide of the artist (cut his throat with a spatula to paint!) And his romantic love for Charlotte Bonaparte - became number one news across Europe, reflected in a number of diaries and memoirs of the time. His work was admired many of the great writers of the era - including Dumas, Zola, Balzac, Vyazemsky and others. Paintings by Louis Leopold Robert acquired not only the French kings and nobles, but also the Russian aristocracy, certainly visited him in Italy, who considered it an honor to bring with him the acquaintance and buy something of his hand. It is known for his paintings glorifying the romance of the Italian resistance, Gogol and bought a privy councilor, the ambassador in Haga, Rome and Naples, Count Nikolai Guriev (known more than just a portrait of Ingres). In whose possession was once my picture has not yet been set. But I made a small opening. This work took place in the French auction sale as a "school of Leopold Robert," and without a signature. But there is a signature! I found her looking at a picture in a strong oblique light with a magnifying glass, and then changing the tone and contrast of your computer. As far as I can see, these are two inscriptions on stone, on which sits a weary gangster. (Putting a signature on the stone is typical of Robert). Above seems to be as follows: 2 X (figure 2, and X) At the bottom of the stone are seen me two letters IO or JO or LO, but perhaps this figure 10. Do not rule out that this may be the initials of another artist, but then there are at least two reasons. The inscription on the back of the canvas in Russian and birochka in French, as well as the brass plate on the frame is still argue that this is Robert. The one who first wrote it, was convinced that this is Robert, and nobody else. Not the same Ingres, Isabey either, nor David, nor Horace Vernet (by the way, who visited Russia) - artists no less - and more - famous in those days. I mean, that those who signed the sheet, just know that this is a picture of Robert, which is possible only if he has acquired the painting in person. Let's say we believe in the fact that it is the work of Leopold Louis Robert, "singer" of Italian bandits and beauties. Then the question. I could encrypt the artist? Why does the stone figures and X?? Добавлено через 23 минуты Even Pictures. Последний раз редактировалось Eriksson; 22.02.2012 в 16:19. Причина: Добавлено сообщение |

Pavel, Read the European literature beginning of the 19th century - a complete Voltairianism , romanticism, mysticism, suffering Byronic and more. Mysterious and enigmatic was more than a fashion, especially among young people. Robert at the time of death was only 41 years old, and the popularity came to him in a very young age.
The whole life of Leopold Robert - the epitome of romantic art, suffering and tragedy. Mystical characters are entered in this way ... Added after 2 minutes 16 minutes On the same theme: Vamp stared at him and not the slightest anxiety had no effect on its Do-tse, while Teresa was still trembling, scarcely dared to approach the corpse and looked at him anxiously over the shoulder of her lover. Vamp turned to her. "I see you've dressed - he said. - It's my turn to do the toilet." Teresa, indeed, from head to toe was dressed in paryad daughter of Count of San Felice. Vamp Kukumetto raised the corpse and carried it into the cave, but this time, Teresa has not entered. If at that moment a horseman rode still, he saw a strange sight: a girl, grazing herds of cashmere dress, earrings and pearl necklace with diamond pins in their hair and ruby buttons on the bodice. He certainly would think that was transported during the Floriapa and the gateway to Paris, would assert that he saw at the foot of the Alpine Shepherdess Sabipskih mountains. A quarter of an hour Vamp out of the cave. He was dressed with equal panache than Teresa. He was wearing a coat of garnet velvet, embossed with gold buttons, an embroidered silk waistcoat, a Roman tatok neck, green with a red silk sash, woven with gold, blue velvet pants to his knees, with diamond buckles, suede leggings with a colorful pattern and hat, on which fluttering ribbons of all colors. In the belt hung two hours, and tucked in his belt was a great knife. Teresa uttered a cry of delight. Vamp in the suit looked like a picture Kukumetto Leopold Robert or Shnetsa. Seeing the impression he made on his bride, he smiled proudly. "Are you ready to share my fate, whatever it was?" - He asked her. "Yes!" - Exclaimed Therese. "And everywhere you go with me?" "Though on the edge of the world!" Alexandre Dumas. "The Count of Monte Cristo" Последний раз редактировалось Eriksson; 23.02.2012 в 21:55. Причина: Добавлено сообщение |
