Stirn, Albert V. was born May 21, 1928 in the small town of Spas-Demensky under Kozelsk in the Kaluga region. In early childhood the family moved to Kozelsk, where he spent his childhood and youth of the future artist. Stirn Family came from the Baltic Latvians, but my father has Stirn was born in Russia. Name Stirn - in Latvian means - deer, antelope. And when my father got a passport, his name was transformed into a Russified - Stirn. His father worked as an engineer-surveyor, was a brilliant mathematician, and her first child named in honor of Albert Einstein. He dreamed that his son follow in his footsteps, but Albert had no inclination to exact sciences - he liked to draw. In 1948 he successfully passed the exams at the Moscow Art-Industrial School. Kalinin on the painting department and helped him in this art Lydia Bespalov. Her father was sitting in the same camp with his father Stirn was very friendly with him and in his letters to his daughter asked to provide all possible assistance to the son of a friend.
Extreme poverty has forced the future artist to combine study with work. In school the talented student noticed and called to it as "our Levitan." In those years the school served as a consultant well-known painter Vasily N. Baksheyev. He belonged to the glorious constellation of Russian artists, which is decorated with the names of Polenov, Levitan, Nesterov. It was up to the subtleties of an artist who has studied the life of nature, who knows many of its secrets and mysteries. They learned the secrets of Baksheev in constant communion with nature, and taught his students, in spite of his advanced age. It was he at that time far beyond eighty. If you look at early sketches Stirn, we see a clear impact Baksheev. Do not hide it, and the artist himself. The main taught them a great teacher - the ability to admire the beauties of nature - Albert has successfully embodied in their works. Also among the teachers remembered Stirnu Nicholas Prisekin recognized painter of battle-grekovets. The last two courses a student Stirn lived in a dormitory school, which was located on the Red Presnya. Erected around the high-rise buildings, which are side by side with one or two-story buildings of old Moscow. Albert loved these corners of the old town. And he liked the same place to write in different seasons. Gradually, these studies developed a whole suite - "Moscow disappearing", so you can call these little boxes. They hand the novice master depicted the old Moscow courtyards with laundry hanging on a rope, Muscovites, hurrying away in inclement weather, the truck with uncomplicated belongings settlers and built skyscrapers in the distance. Already in these early works Stirn announced himself as an artist, sensitive spirits of nature, its fickle nature. In college, Albert fell in love with her younger sister Lydia Bespalova art, was close to their family. Lidiya while working on a monograph on the Appolinaria Vasnetsov (L. Bespalov. "A. Vasnetsov, 1856-1933." Moscow, 1956) and was well received in the workshop of the Konstantin Yuon. She introduced the famous painter Stirn and educator. Painting a young artist like Yuonu, and he offered him work in his studio, the good he had just defended his thesis. It was in 1956. |

For Albert Vasilevich did not exist ills of life, everyday problems, and, by and large, family responsibilities. He lived and breathed art. Having gone through great deprivation in childhood and adolescence, he has gained a degree of spiritual freedom, which is available is not for everyone. He considers himself the happiest man.
Late 1980s - early 1990s in the work of Albert Stirn very fruitful years - the artist travels almost every year in the creative assignment. During this time he visited the Baltic, Novgorod (1988), in the Crimea, Pskov (1989), travels along the Golden Ring of Russia (1990). The following year he visited the ancient cities of Russia: Ferapontovo, Kirillov, Great Ustyug. And everywhere brings a lot of great sketches. The artist reaches a peak in his art, sketches written easily, relaxed, in one breath. The painter admires the beauty of ancient Russian towns, it is easily possible to transfer volatile state of nature: a misty morning and a quiet evening at sunset pink snow and bad weather somewhere in the Russian province. His sketches breathe enthusiasm for nature, her own life. The artist likes to portray the changing seasons, finding in each of the state of special beauty, special sound colors. Some sketches are so successful that one wants to put them on a par with the immortal creations Levitan, Polenov Baksheev and other classics of Russian painting. In 1983, Stirn retires and leaves in a small town near Donetsk - Krasnogorovku . It has a new family. However, the well-being and prosperity , he never acquired while living in a small apartment on the top floor of a five-story "Khrushchev ." All the happiness he found in painting , poetry and music. He writes poetry , and when it becomes completely unbearable - picks up a harmonica, and "goes " way from the gray reality. In painting , too, continues to run his small sketches translates into great work. However , the lack of studio and cramped conditions at home, do not allow the artist to reveal what was desired . Who is Albert V. was very lonely, sick, but do not lose heart .

There are such a meeting - which is not will forget. With Albert Vasilevich met by chance - riding in a train and was lucky enough to spend time in the same compartment. What a surprise - it is encouraging Albert Vasilevich. Is now rarely seen such people. After Albert Vasilevich I met poeziey Alexander Blok - which he knew by heart - and while it is not only limited to the Bloc. If you remember correctly, Albert V. was prompted story "Dersu Uzala" Arseniev, go to the installation in the Ussuri region, where Vladivostok was reluctantly forced to notice that "they shot the last hare hundred years ago." In my memory was not so much an artist - and working with a very rich spiritual life. To be an artist who was not a profession, a vocation. I am glad that finally was able to find his work here - and maybe somehow have the opportunity to look at his paintings in real life. Thank you, Albert V. - for the small gap from Donetsk to Kiev - seven years ago - can you no longer remember. Health, happiness - and the same relentless optimism in the future you want.
