Gallery "Vellum" (Moscow) and Murom Historical and Art Museum present an exhibition of paintings and drawings of Honored Artist of the RSFSR, Corresponding Member of USSR Academy of Arts Alexander Pavlovich Bubnov
(1908-1964 gg.).

Gallery "Vellum" is continuing its activities kulturolgicheskuyu and introduces viewers to the heritage of Russian artists of the twentieth century. After a successful exhibition of PI in the Rostov Kremlin Petrovicheva gallery "Vellum" show in Murom paintings and graphics of the classic Russian culture - AP Bubnov.

      AP Bubnov was born in 1908 in Atkarsk. Original art education he received in the studio, led by NY artist Fedorov. AP Bubnov studied in VKhUTEMAS (1926-1930 gg., Studio K. Istomin) . In 1948 he was awarded the Stalin Prize First Class. He died in Moscow in 1964.

        In his writings, AP Bubnov refers to the traditional Russian artists the subject of patriotism, by personalizing it through the images of ancient defenders of the Russian Land. The artist is the author of the landmark paintings «Morning of Kulikovo», is in the collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery . This film was destined to become one of the best works of Soviet historical painting. It brought the author international recognition.
     AP Bubnov worked on the painting in a difficult war and postwar years (1943-1947gg.). Due to the large number of sketches, drawings and sketches the artist managed to repel a huge canvas by the spirit of the Russian people, true to the historical event itself, its epic breadth and monumentality of the image.

Bubnov.
