December 29, 1911 - 100 years ago - appeared in Moscow route of the legendary "Annushka" - Tram "A»
The first streetcars appeared in Moscow in 1899. The first route is the "electric urban railway" ran from Butyrskaya outpost (now Savyolovsky Station) on the Lower and Upper Maslovka. soon appeared in the famous "letter" routes. December 29, 1911 the tram was put "A", which Muscovites affectionately called "Annushka." He cruised on Boulevard Ring and Moskvoretskaya waterfront. And then the tram "B" - "bug", who traveled all over the Garden Ring. * By 1915 the city had the 34 tram route, the length of lines has increased to 311 kilometers. There was also a "Vera" - route At that linked the ring to the area Taganka Avtozavodskaya. In went the route Sokolniki "IC" - Sokol'nicheskaya ring. I must say that at the time the tram was the only form of public urban transport. Tramways been laid on all main streets of Moscow, took place on Red Square, and went on the outskirts of town, in the chalet - Sokolniki Bogorodskoe, Sparrow Hills. The city had seven stores and car-repair plant (SVARZ). At first tram cars were imported. Brought them back from Belgium, England or Germany. In 1909 appeared the first domestic cars F - the so-called "lantern", which produced Kolomna factory. His name they got for "light lamp" - the roof along the mid-elevation interior lighting. These cars were sturdy, reliable, and served until 1960, the Muscovites. -------------------------------------------------- ----------------- * It's so nice that we left something out of that time! "A" and "B" travel through Moscow to this day! Sometimes, it is this attitude, I sit down in a "bug" going quietly around the Garden ring! Such nostalgia beautiful! ![]() |
