Henry Borovik at the Pushkin

At the Pushkin Museum opened an exhibition of photos of famous international journalist and essayist Henry Borovik "To see the time."
Photo Archive Borovik was a fount of rare shots of the Facilitators. During the years of journalistic activity during numerous trips, including hot spots, Borovik was able to create an archive snapshots and record historical events.

Geography of the exhibition covers the different continents. "European Series" presents photographs taken in France, Italy, Greece, the former socialist countries. At the same time we see the photographs taken in Somalia, Cuba, Chile, during the period when these countries there were important social and political events. Many papers are devoted to American 60's, when it was shaken by anti-war demonstrations. It's a story, shown through the people. The focus of most of the work - the people involved in specific political events, characteristic signs of the time, details of everyday life. It must be remembered that many of these studies were not designed to be printed. They were too "chamber" or made to "lobby" big politics. Today we look at these pictures with different eyes.

The curator of the exhibition - Olga Averyanova, Head of Art photography.
Hosted by the President of the International Fund for Culture of Peace Ivan Yakushkin.
The opening also was Mikhail Gorbachev, and for a long time attracted the attention of the entire media to his personality.
