По умолчанию November 29, 1783 g in the Russian alphabet introduced by the letter E

November 29, 1783 in the Russian alphabet, enter the letters E >

Russian alphabet consists of thirty-three letters. One of them is completely undeserved more and more out of use. Its story began in 1783.

(18) November 29, 1783 took place on one of the first meetings of the newly established Academy of Russian literature, with its director - Princess Dashkova and Fonvizin and Derzhavin.

Project was discussed fully sensible of the Slavonic-Russian dictionary, then the famous "Dictionary of the Russian Academy." Ekaterina proposed to replace the sound symbol «io» a new letter - "e". The arguments seemed convincing Dashkova, and soon her proposal was approved by the General Meeting of the Academy.

Princess innovative idea supported by a number of leading cultural figures of the time, including Derzhavin, who first began to use the E in personal correspondence. The very first printed edition, which meets the letter "e" - a book by Ivan Dmitriev "My trifles" (1795).

Well-known letter "e" was due to Karamzin. In 1797, Nikolai Mikhailovich decided to replace the seal in the preparation of one of his poems, two letters in the word "sliozy" one - the "e".

So with a light hand Karamzin letter "e" became part of the Russian alphabet. Due to the fact that Karamzin was the first to use the letter "e" in the print edition, which appeared very large circulation, it is some reference books, in particular, the Great Soviet Encyclopedia, erroneously cited as the author of the letter "e".

In Soviet Russia the mandatory use of the letter "e" in the school practice was introduced December 24, 1942 order of the People's Commissar of Education of the RSFSR.

Incidentally, none of this order has never been repealed. Requirement of the use of "e" leads to erroneous reading of, and inability to restore the sense of the word without the detailed context. For example, a loan-a loan, complete, perfect, tears, tears, sky-sky-Cretaceous chalk, and the ass, ass, gay, gay ...

And yet there is an example of "Peter" AN Tolstoy: "In sort of a sovereign take rest!". Did you mean - "take rest". You feel the difference?

And as you read "Everything we sing?" All sing? All sing?
