designer from Singapore has learned to copy the masterpieces of pen

Singaporean designer Chan Hwee Choon (Chan Hwee Chong) copies the masterpieces of painting, using only a black pen. According to the newspaper The Daily Mail, the artist has learned to play the picture, drawing a line, a spiral twist.

Chan Hwee Choon, in its unique way to recreate the "Mona Lisa" by Leonardo, Van Gogh self-portrait and the "Girl with a Pearl Earring" by Vermeer. The publication notes that the work of the designer requires extraordinary precision: if he is wrong, then starts anew.

According to the artist, the idea is to demonstrate the accuracy and control of such a tool, like a pen. The work of Chan Chun Hwi is actually part of an advertising campaign pens manufacturer Faber-Castell.

Chan Hwee Chong lives in Hamburg. He is art director for design studios Kolle Robbe, in his spare time involved in graphic design and installations. For the project for Faber-Castell took him three months.
