Mozart score found was published in 1765, when the composer was 8 years old, and he toured in London. The booklet contains six sonatas for violin and piano. This first edition of the sonatas, with only one known copy of the same in 1765.
Employees of a music store have consulted with the auction house Sotheby's, whose members recognized the value of the score. It is estimated at five thousand dollars and will be auctioned on June 8. "We just do not understand, but it turned out that the booklet is missing one page. If not for that, the score would have cost twice as much," - said store manager.
Mozart is considered to be sufficiently well understood by the composer, and his unknown works are relatively rare. Latest such finds were made in 2009 - were discovered in the archives of the concert for piano and orchestra and a prelude for piano, written by Mozart at an early age.
