Nicholas Bokov on yesterday's show Edik Steinberg at Sotheby's in Paris.
Yesterday evening exhibition Edik Steinberg at Sotheby ... Dominique Fernandez, a member of the academy, pointed out relentlessly influence Dostoevsogo Elza on art and iconography, Malevich and excessive (démesurés ...) Russian spaces. Were shown a film about creativity, in which D. Fernandez stopped at the impact that had on the creativity of the artist iconography, with its "no image", Dostoevsky, the "black box", the endless Russian landscapes around Tarusa.
Then said the artist himself, and then dead gloss French cultural organization retreated. Edward said that Paris was the second home that, without the picture of Claude Bernard, he could not have, and the modest lifestyle, which he managed to organize in Russia that he had a chance to survive in the Soviet era. Of course, truth in art, but not the whole truth ... truth home knows the faith ... (here the room stood a few ...) Then came the champagne and vodka Mammoth (sponsor pm). The audience took pictures Edik Steinberg, and he bore it as a necessary evil - tired after an illness, but an invigorating and attentive to the approaching people.
But I must live ... (and why "but" ...), Cha (e) stnaya life of the artist poured into a "zone of consumption" ... Noble geometrism painting Elza enters into an area where demand patterns as rafts laden bills ... they are floating in the harbor bank. Yes, there is love ... painting hung on the walls and paintings, which will be held at the London auction in June.
