In Prague, opened a private museum of Russian art, which presents works by representatives of the academic school of Russian painting of XVIII-XX centuries.

In a small room of the museum - more than 150 paintings from the collection of a collector Valery Larionov. You can see a little-known work of Russian marine painters, including Ivan Aivazovsky and Alexei Bogolyubov, as well as paintings artists Wanderers: Basil Polenov, Ilya Repin, Valentin Serov. The most valuable work - written in the late 17 th century by an unknown master portrait after the king Ivan. Aware of the existence of all three of these portraits, one of which is located in Madrid, the Prado Museum, the second - at the Hermitage. Part of the collection - works by artists of Russian origin who had studied and worked in Prague. Also, samples of bronze art casting.

Opening of the Museum of Russian Art in conjunction with the anniversary of "Russian stocks - which began in 1921, the government program of Czechoslovakia on the Asylum exiles from Russia. In the 30 years in Czechoslovakia, there were more than 20,000 former subjects of the Russian Empire. Some immigrants brought with them antiquities, manuscripts, books and works of art, so in the suburbs of Prague, Zbraslav, was created by the Museum of Russian culture, who has worked for several years. Along with other exhibits, it exhibited, and patterns, some of which can be seen today in the Prague Museum of Russian Art.

The value of the collection experts confirmed the Tretyakov Gallery. Seeing the pictures first, employee Gallery Lydia Iovleva said that the meeting reached the level of the museum's collection. The same opinion is shared by the experts of the National Gallery in Prague, who have issued authorization to museum work.

Prague museum created as a center of cultural communication. The owners of the museum plans to conduct master classes in painting and drawing, to organize exhibitions of Czech artists of Russian origin in other cities. Tells his own private museum of Russian art Valery Larionov:

- The collection of Russian art collection of my father, who with the 50-ies collected paintings in Russia. After his death, I continued his work - first in Russia, then in Prague. I studied the history of Russian art in Czechoslovakia. The story begins with the end of XIX century, when exhibited paintings by Ivan Aivazovsky. In 1886 there was an exhibition of Fine arts. Some of the papers presented at these shows have stayed here. Also remain in Prague some of Basil Polenova - they bought after the show the people of Prague. Ilya Repin lived here seven personal exhibitions ...

In addition, there are Russian artists who came here in his youth, received his art education here and stayed to work in Czechoslovakia, beginning with the 20-ies. In the museum there are works of Gregory Musatov Peskovskoe spouses who painted Olshansky Church - Orthodox church, built by Russian émigrés in Prague, Rostislav Koryakina ...

Here in the museum, collected works by alphabet: from Aivazovsky to Yakovlev. Altogether, according to my sources, more than 70 artists from Russia entered the golden fund of Czech painting.
