In 89 year of his life on Nov. 26, 2010 died on the famous Crimean artist Sergei Bak.
Sergei Bakaev was born April 7, 1922 in Semipalatinsk. Since 1924, Yalta was his hometown, where he lived all his life. Sergei Ivanovich - a veteran of World War II. In 1945 he was awarded the Order of the Great Patriotic War II degrees, medals "For courage", "For Victory over Germany", etc. In 1951 he graduated from Simferopol Art College. NS Samokisha - creative cradle of many Crimean painters. His teachers were Bernadskii V., M. Kroshitsky, T. Kuznetsov. After graduation he worked in Yalta art workshops. In 1951 he was admitted to the Union urban artists. Since 1954, actively participated in the city, regional. Union and international exhibitions. His works have been exhibited in Warsaw, Krakow, Vienna, Salzburg, Prague and many other foreign and domestic cities.
In 1961 he became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. In 1991 Bakaeva was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Crimea. Product of the author's well-known collectors, gallery owners, art lovers and connoisseurs. He was a master having its own unique and easily recognizable handwriting and vision. The master's works are in museum and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and Austria. The last award, which was awarded Sergei Bakaev in 2010 - a silver medal for craftsmanship of the International Foundation "Cultural Heritage" and an honorary diploma fund "for his outstanding contribution to the upbringing of generations of Crimean schools."
Sergei Ivanovich did not live just 13 days before the opening of his solo exhibition in Simferopol House of Artists. The exhibition, prepared by the Sebastopol Gallery, "Art Promenade" by artist's daughter, Svetlana Bakaeva opened on December 8, 2010. In late December, she will be on display in Sevastopol.
